When LTB came out in opposition to the Governor's relief bill, over 150 members of the Workers' Alliance protested in a demonstration at his Glendora home.

The Workers' Alliance threatened to bring an army of 100,000 pickets to LTB's Glendora home unless he stops backing a bill to cut the state relief budget. "This conference is over right now if those pickets don't disband," Bashore told them. [Double click to see a clearer image of the photos]

The leader of the picketers threatened to bring an army of 100,000 picketers to Bashore's home the next Saturday. Bashore said, "I told him I wouldn't be home next Saturday, but that the following Saturday I would be, and to bring his army then. He said he would. The only protection I want or ask is forewarning enough to get my wife and kids away from here before the trouble starts. But I don't anticipate any trouble."
