My dear friend, Bob Bird

I knew your father (Wes Fisher) very well and a few of the old Oklahoma Ski and Drag Boat club may still remain in and probably still live in the OKC area and I would love to hear from them. I was dog-gone near a fatality at a demo race at Ponca City, Okla about a year prior to Bob's tragic accident. i was a Original member of the Oklahoma Ski & Dragboat Club and a Flat bottom drag boat racer and participated in many races in Texas and Oklahoma. Bought my first boat from Bob Bird and it was powered by a Nascar Version of a 427 Chevrolet and was a very quick boat for those days and appeared in HOT BOAT NEWS. Bob Bird and I became the closest of friends. He was like a brother to me and I dearly miss him!!
