My years in drag boat racing from 1974-86

I started working when I was 16 for Jim Cole, I worked on his blown gas and blown fuel flatbottoms. That was in '74 to '79, I moved to another boat mfg., Syndicate Boats, and started racing unblown gas hydro '81 to '83, then blown gas jet in '84 to '86, My last race was at Castaic in '86, Bill Todd was killed in a qualifying run trying to better his own record of 226 mph. He wanted to be the 1st to run 230 mph.
